Blue Pine Library Summer Reading Program begins June 9 and runs through August 16. All ages are welcome to participate. Participate in weekly and summer-long challenges to gain entry into our end-of-summer prize drawing.
Challenges include:
- Weekly library scavenger hunt
- Read 50 minutes per day or 50 books this summer
- Summer exploring selfies
Events:
- June 5, 3 -7 PM Summer Reading Kickoff
- Storytelling and reading with Ms. Kelly
- Local author Kevin Bacon – signing his book From Here to the Moon
- Stock up on your summer reading selections and get a head start on our prize drawing – one entry for every item checked out!
- July 4th, Blue Pine Library parade march
- Line up at 8:30 AM, parade at 9 AM
- Bring your bike, scooter, skateboard, or your legs and march in the 4th of July parade with the library! Wear your patriotic best!
- August 15, 1-5 PM End of Summer Reading party
- Turn in summer reading records
- Old fashioned ice cream social
- Prize drawings at 4:30 PM
